Theresa | Head Pediatric Dental Assistant
Theresa has worked as an assistant for 22 years at Bellingham Pediatric Dentistry, and if there is one thing that has kept her there, “it is working with the kids!” Every day she is greeted by little smiling faces and warm hugs. It certainly doesn’t get any better than that for Theresa. Helping nervous little ones and their families to feel comfortable throughout their dental visit is truly her passion. She has been married to the love of her life for 22 years, and together then have four amazing children of their own. She looks forward to getting to know your family and teaching your children about the importance of good dental hygiene.
Sydney | Dental Hygienist
Sydney was born and raised in Whatcom County. She attended Eastern Washington University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. She enjoys educating children and their parents on the importance of good oral hygiene in hopes to help them master the dental experience. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys boating, hiking, and camping with her husband Brady and Heir Vizsla Edgar.
Ilia | Pediatric Dental Assistant
Ilia grew up in the countryside of Ferndale with lots of land and peace. She is fluent in Spanish and has always enjoyed helping others—she understands the difficulty that comes with learning another language. She appreciates and adores the small interactions and memories that are created every day with one another especially when working with the kids. They’re so full of happiness and make her very happy to be where she is in life.
Ilia likes to be adventurous and loves to travel. She is always willing to learn and teach. She eventually wishes to continue school to fulfill more dentistry knowledge and practice becoming the best version of herself.
When not at work she cooks and focuses on her fitness journey.
Jennifer | Office Manager
Jennifer is a life-time resident to Whatcom County. In her twenty-three years at Bellingham Pediatric Dentistry, she has worn many hats: dental assistant, receptionist, and office manager. She has two amazing children, one in college and another a senior in high school. When she is not greeting you at our front office or figuring out the intricacies of insurance in the back office, she enjoys camping, spending time with her family, and gardening.
Monica | Patient Care Coordinator
Hi! My name is Monica. I have worked in the dental field for over 10 years off and on, and am so happy to have landed here at Bellingham Pediatric Dentistry! I am third generation Bellinghamster, born and raised. When I am not at work, enjoying my co-workers and patient families, you can find me out enjoying nature in all capacities, gardening, cooking, reading, spending time with friends, enjoying live music, house/pet sitting and hanging with my extraordinary son. I am also continuing my education to acquire my degree in psychology to work with our youth here in Whatcom County.

Audrey | Brand Manager
After graduation from the University of Notre Dame with a BFA in design in 2009, Audrey Negro worked in corporate design consulting in Chicago and Seattle. Corporate burnout led her to make a move to Bellingham, WA, where she currently focuses on brand design and strategy on a freelance basis as the founder of Treble Creative. Her branding work for clients across the country has been based on a purely collaborative mission and crosses industry demarcations. She also teaches at Western Washington University as an adjunct professor in the design department, where she insists on instilling the desire to design for the greater good and for the enhancement of community and culture.
Working on brand strategy for Bellingham Pediatric Dentistry has fulfilled a quest to work on local projects that improve health and education of little ones. Working with her husband, Dr. Sawyer, is a dream! When she’s not geeking out on music or design, her family keeps her busy as an outdoor warrior.
Dr. Jessica Yoos, MD | General Anesthesiologist
Dr Jessica has called Bellingham home since 2004. She grew up in Portland, OR and attended medical school in Rochester, NY, completing her medical degree in 2000. In 2004, she completed her anesthesia residency at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, WA. She practiced both inpatient and outpatient anesthesia from 2004 through 2016, at which time she decided to focus her practice solely on outpatient work, which would include pediatric dental anesthesia.
She enjoys working with children of all ages and their families, safety always being her #1 concern.
In her free time, Dr Jessica enjoys spending time with friends and family, working in her garden, and travel.
